We’re proud to announce that Emily Paige Mather from Team Viking has successfully passed her Deer Stalking Certificate Level 1 (DSC1).
Her hard work and dedication to learning and improving her skills have paid off, and this is a fantastic achievement.
The DSC1, completed through BASC North Yorkshire, is a comprehensive course designed to prepare deer stalkers with the knowledge and skills needed for safe and responsible stalking. It includes classroom learning, home study, and a practical shooting test. Participants must demonstrate their understanding of deer species, ecology, deer management, firearm safety, and relevant laws, as well as pass a shooting assessment.
Emily invested considerable time in her studies and practice, and her efforts shone through during the shooting test. Now, equipped with her Ruger Gen 2 rifle, Leupold scope, and Federal ammunition, she’s excited to continue honing her skills in the field and taking on new stalking opportunities in Yorkshire and beyond.
Congratulations to Emily on this significant milestone. Her achievement is a great example of what can be accomplished with focus and determination.
For those inspired by her journey, the DSC1 is a great starting point for anyone interested in getting into deer stalking. Keep an eye on the Viking Shoot website for more updates and stories from Team Viking!
