Shooters from across Kent and Sussex put the Merkel Helix Speedster to the test on an action-packed charity range day with sporting journalist and pro-hunter Tim Pilbeam.
Shooting sports journalist Tim Pilbeam hosted a one-off rifle shooting charity event on his range in South East England. Participants were able to demo the Merkel Helix Speedster in exchange for a charitable donation to help Tim to raise money for a childrens’ hospital that looked after his grandson, Max, who was born prematurely.Check out the Merkel Helix Explorer
The shooters were able to sharpen up their rifle shooting skills from 50m to 300m on a wide variety of tricky reactive animal targets. These included a running pig and an infamously tricky bolting rabbit. Lucky participants also walked away with a variety of top-notch sporting kit. Viking Arms are proud to have donated Splatter Shot Targets, Pro-Shot rifle cleaning kits, 3HGR rifle slings and the loan of a Merkel Helix Speedster rifle fitted with a Leupold scope for the event. Tim was aiming to fundraise £2000 in donations but he is now edging towards £3000.
